Today's Noteworthy News, September 4, 2007
- The September issue of the Missions Banner is now posted on PMU's web site, www.presbyterianmissions.org. Rev. Tito Lyro, Council Member and Team Timothy Brazil leader, writes a report on the Brazil team's ministry this past July. You will also read about the transition of leadership in the Olympia, Washington, BPC, as Rev. Dennis Leaman retires and Rev. Lyro is called to be the new pastor there. We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. David Quisbert of La Paz, Bolivia, as PMU's newest missionary. We are also very excited about two new Home Missions projects that we are asking you to pray for -- one project is an effort to evangelize and establish churches among the Hispanic population in our country, and the other is aimed at the young people of our denomination. Finally, we announce in this issue the election of our PMU president for the coming year, Dr. Morris McDonald. We trust these stories will encourage you as you read.
- We have also recently posted the application packet for Team Timothy Bolivia 2008 on our web site. Just click on the Team Timothy link at the top of the home page, and you'll find the packet there ready to download. The team ministry is open to young people who are rising seniors in high school and above (adults are welcome, too!). Please note the application deadline is October 31!
- Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support of this ministry.
Thanks for your interest in the Lord's work through Presbyterian Missionary Union!
