Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Another year has come and gone. The pace at which time is flying makes me remember the words of Isaiah: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” We often are so caught up in the things of this passing world that we forget the great hope and promises of the gospel. Centuries ago, Samuel Rutherford reminded God’s people that we must not put all our energy and time and thought into that nest on that branch of that tree. The whole forest will be cut down! Eternity and the promises of the gospel must guide us as we live our lives that are fleeting away. My dad often quoted from CT Studd’s well known poem, “Only one life, twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.” Thank you for allowing us through your prayers and gifts to give our lives in this way for Him in Brazil.
With hearts full of gratitude,
