Welcoming and loving people is the first step to winning new members for the church. In church planting efforts adding new believing members is the goal. The membership candidate must complete a new member’s class. A BPC member must be able to defend his faith and to prove its correctness with the Bible. We praise the Lord because this year we have received ten new members. Four of them were baptized, and we had our spiritual banquet, the Lord’s Supper.
Grober and Alejandra were welcomed into our church membership. They are engaged and are preparing for marriage. Please pray for the wedding arrangements. The wedding date is January 21, 2012. God’s family at La Paz BPC continues to grow.
PROCLAMING THE GOOD NEWS IN CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS
One of the greatest challenges as missionaries is to proclaim the gospel everywhere. We prayed asking God for opportunities to teach the gospel in the schools. God has answered our prayers. This year we had incredible opportunities to teach kids and teenagers. Many of them came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We ministered in three schools to almost 2,000 students, proclaiming Christ and handing out gospel tracts. Please pray for those who heard the word of God. May God bless the Christian teachers and educators. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” Prov. 9:10
PREACHING AT ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM
On October 20th I had the privilege to preach a sermon at the 463rd anniversary program celebrating the founding of La Paz. National officials were present, and the service went very well. Many tracts were also distributed by our church members. We greatly appreciate your prayers for us. — Rev. David Quisbert
Currently, the Quisberts’ account is very low and unable to sustain their work for the remainder of the year at current giving levels. Please remember this in your prayers. Monthly donations are needed to supply their on-going shortfall for 2012 as well. Thank you for remembering these needs in prayer.
