The Lord’s work must go on from one generation to the next. Rev. Ed and Mrs. Lehia Paauwe thank the Lord that Jacob Woo and Merilyn Orchard, who recently got engaged and will be getting married in November, are now taking over the ministry of the Junior Fellowship of Covenant Bible-Presbyterian Church in Perth, Western Australia.
Jacob and Merilyn are dedicated Christians, who are concerned about reaching the lost for Christ. They went with the Paauwes to Myanmar this past December and January and conducted meetings for the orphans and other children. In addition to teaching Sunday School, they are now conducting the weekly Junior Fellowship meetings and working out the roster of speakers and topics for the meetings. They faithfully attend all meetings and what was said by Herodotus about 2,500 years ago, can be modified and applied to them: “Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these courageous couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Thank God for this faithful couple serving the Lord in the ministry to children at Covenant B-P Church.
“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
