Evangelistic Outreach in Bolivia

Posted on Sep 5, 2012

One week before our evangelistic program at church, Jose Callisaya came to our church service. He had listened to our radio program (Majesty Radio 105.5 FM). We were happy to have our listener with us. He shared with us his testimony. He has two children, and he works as a climbing guide for tourists. He has also played the violin for ten years which he learned using the Suzuki method. We explained God’s simple plan of salvation. He decided to turn to Jesus. We gave him a copy of the Gospel of John and tracts. Finally, we invited him to come to our next service with his violin. He returned to practice with our church musicians. We shared the printed poem, “The Touch of the Master’s Hand,” by Myra B. Welch. We praise the Lord for His mercy and grace. The next Sunday Jose helped us in our evangelistic program wining souls for Jesus. He has a strong desire to serve our Lord through his violin. Please pray for Jose, that he will grow in the faith of Jesus Christ.

“For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1: 13-14

The first Sunday of August we started a program to evangelize the unsaved. The church gave each member a prayer card. It was filled with the names of relatives, friends, and neighbors who don’t have Jesus Christ as their Savior. August was the time to win new souls for Jesus. We also worked on a special evangelistic program for August 26th, a festival of music, poetry, life testimonies, and words of strength. We prepared nice envelopes and invitations. With the card we included a map of our church.

Our program ran from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We had six counselors who served helping the new people. We praise the Lord because we saw seven adults won for Jesus (Nilan Calle, Victor Vela, Ruth Maquera,  Zulma Franco, Patricia Claure, Sandra Cruz, Karen Chipana) and eleven children. We finished our evangelistic program with a fellowship time. We ate sandwiches and drank coffee with the congregation. Thank you for your prayers.

  • Please pray for the new souls who trusted in Christ, that they would stand firm in the faith of Jesus Christ.
  • Please pray for a burning passion for evangelism and discipleship in our BPC of La Paz. On September 30th, we will have another evangelistic service.
  • Please pray for the distribution of 2,000 tracts.
  • Please pray for our Reformed Bible Broadcasting. 24/7 stream.
  • Please pray for our leadership of AWANA. Volunteers needed.
  • Please pray for the completion of our church building.
