It is hard to believe another year is almost over, and it’s time to look back and reflect on God’s work in our lives and ministries here. Seeing folks here in their winter coats and hearing them complain about how “cold” it is reminds me that, at least for them, it’s winter with lows in the mid-20s and highs in the 30s (Centigrade), so I know December is knocking on the door. Over the last year we have had on and off trials, tribulations and persecutions in our ministry, but the works in the villages of Kpbaom, Prey Pdao, Seywa, Dom Bpang Wvlia, and North Kpbaom have not only survived but prospered. We even had our first Christian wedding of a young couple in Kpbaom this fall. We have also gotten more or less official support for the existence of our church in Kpbaom (though much paperwork is still to be done). And we have seen God’s blessing on our little Zachary who is now becoming quite adventurous at a year and a half old.
Next year looks to be a an exciting year also. Lord willing our second child will be born mid-May. We have lost our lease and must find a new place to live, moving in March when Wiwin will be 7 months pregnant. Our church registration papers will need to be run from bureaucrat to bureaucrat in hopes they’ll sign them without asking for exorbitant bribes. Our new 20 year old car will undoubtedly tax our patience and finances. I’m sure you get the picture. We thank everyone for your prayers and support and beseech you to remember us regularly before our Lord as we cannot do this work in our own strength. — Rev. Mark, Wiwin, and Zachary Baldwin
