April Banner Article: "Leading a Family to Jesus Christ" by Rev. David Quisbert

Posted on Apr 9, 2015

We praise the Lord for the opportunity to lead people to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. We are happy to share a testimony of how a family turned to Jesus. Emilio and his family came from the rural area “province Loayza” to the “Alto City.” They migrated to the urban area in search of work. He had worked as a farmer, but now He was searching for a job as a mechanic. He was having financial troubles in the urban area.

One Saturday morning he and his wife listened to our radio program. The Word of God touched their hearts. The radio program was good for them, and they wanted to know more about the gospel. The next Saturday they took note of the church address. Then Emilio tried to come to the church, but he couldn’t find the address. During the week his wife, Cristina, worked visiting more of the La Paz city and finally arrived at the church. She went back home with some gospel tracts. The next Sunday all the family decided to go to church. The family understood the plan of salvation and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The church gave them the Gospel of John and Christian literature. We praise the Lord for the genuine desire of this family to know about Jesus.

Every Sunday this family comes to our church. They live far away (an hour and a half). They take three different forms of public transportation to arrive at our church. They were faithful for the last three months to our Sunday services. They are happy with the family of God. Now they joined in our church members’ class. We hope to receive these brothers in Christ as our church members; then our desire is to establish a Bible study in the far area of “El Alto.” Please keep us in prayer. “…the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” Matthew 18:38

We live in a world where only God knows who will come to Jesus. We need to work as a soul winner. The work of the soul winner will shine for eternity. — Pastor David Quisbert
