In this prayer letter, I would like to share with you some important experiences we have had in the past few months.
First, we had three training sessions from three different Bible Presbyterian leaders: Dr. Kevin Backus and Dr. Len Pine from the US and also Rev. Mark Chen from Australia. Dr. Backus taught us biblical counseling. Dr. Len expounded the Ten Commandments under the topic of Practical Holiness. Rev. Mark taught us the importance of the local church for believers as well as the responsibilities of a member of a local church. We all were so blessed by the teachings.
Secondly, three members of the Yangon BP Church went home to heaven to be with the Lord. One of the orphanage children died suddenly with brain cancer. A 43 year old mother and her daughter (17 years old) also died with blood cancer. The daughter died first, and the mother died the next day. In fact, we did the funeral service together for them. It was really a big loss to us, but we know that they all believed and even loved the Lord.
Thirdly, the Lord enabled us to build and finish a two story building to house the orphanage children. Everybody is happy with the building because it came out much better, stronger and even more beautiful then our original design.
Finally, I recently baptized three people and also performed a marriage ceremony. The results —our church membership grows. We are planning to conduct a Salvation Camp by the end of April. As usual, we will invite our non-Christian friends to join the camp so that they may hear the gospel and be saved.
Friends, you will see from the above that we have had mixed experiences in the past few months: happiness and sadness, loss and gain, etc. Our experience tells us that we always need your prayer support. We acknowledge that our happy moments are the fruit of your labor for us in prayer, and our sad experiences humble us and tell us our need of your prayers.
Thank you so much for remembering us. We appreciate each prayer.
