2nd Quarter Prayer Letter from Rev. Kima

Posted on Jun 17, 2016

Dear Honored Friends and Prayer Partners,

It is hard to believe that we are now at the middle of 2016. Time is flying so fast. As I look back over the past five months, I cannot stop praising God for His wonderful providence. The Lord is really good to us. The Lord has enabled us to have the salvation camp where six people were saved and baptized. We also had our usual women’s combined fellowship meeting at the Namhu mission station. We have completed the orphanage building, and now the orphanage children have moved there. We are happy to see the building has turned out to be much better than the original plan and expectation.

I have four prayer requests at this time.  Fist, pray for our country as there are many changes. As we know change can be either for good or bad. Thank God that the changes are so far for the good. We know that our God is the Lord of history, and history is His Story. The kings and the government are His hand of moving in history (Rom 13:1-7; 1 Tim. 2:2).

“The Lord has enabled us to have the salvation camp where six people were saved and baptized.”

Secondly, pray for the Namhu mission. They are replacing the bamboo wall with a brick wall because the bamboo wall is now rotten. They are also extending the church building size. Please pray that they may finish well and soon. The Yangon church was able to supply them $600 USD.  Pray with us for the Lord’s provision of everything to complete the work.

Thirdly, please pray for the BP Church members combined fellowship meeting to be held next year at Thinglei. If God is willing, we are praying to conduct a combined fellowship meeting for the BP members from all the mission stations. This time, the fellowship meeting will not be just for women only but for all the church members. From our experience, we have realized that this type of fellowship meeting greatly helps the church members (believers) to grow and stand firm in the Lord. To hold such a fellowship meeting at Thinglei will be a great challenge to us because the transportation is very difficult and also so expensive. So please pray for this.

Finally, pray for the new orphanage home. We have now completed the building, the painting, the lighting, and water pipe systems of the orphanage home. A few details remain; please pray that the Lord will enable us to do it as soon as possible.

Thank you for praying for Myanmar and our work. May God bless you also.

– Rev. Khawl Ro Kima
