December 2018 Prayer Letter from Rev. Kima in Myanmar

Posted on Dec 8, 2018

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus! We wish you all the best for Christmas and New Year. The wishes are from my family, the children at the Mingalar Children Home, and the BP churches in Myanmar. All of us are keeping in good health; we wish the same for you and your dear ones.

“This time may I ask you to pray for two specific things.”

I am writing this letter to express our heartfelt thanks to you for your continuous support and unceasing prayer for me and the mission works in Myanmar. We deeply appreciate you all. The mission works in Myanmar are growing in different directions, especially as we are moving forward to maturity in the faith and service in Christ.

This time may I ask you to pray for two specific things. First, please pray for our evangelistic efforts during the Christmas season. You know, Christmas season is the best time for reaching out to our neighboring people with the gospel of Jesus. So we are planning to share the gospel with unbelievers in our neighborhood, to as many as possible. Normally we do this by caroling, gospel tract distribution, and even sometimes open air gospel concerts. Pray that many may hear the gospel and come to the true knowledge of Christ.

Secondly, prayer for an open door for starting new church planting works. So far we have Mr. Peka, one of the deacons in Yangon BP church, starting to build a new church in a suburb area of Yangon. He is able to organize some key people and even have a worship service every Sunday. Our Lord willing, we are planning to start new churches in other places also.

Friends, thank you, all of you, once again for your partnership in the gospel ministry. As you have faithfully prayed and supported us in the past, we pray that you will continue to pray and support even in the coming year, 2019.

I pray for God’s blessing in your life and that the past year has been a good one. Here’s to a great year ahead!

Sincerely in His service,

Rev. Khawl Ro Kim
